Apparently, that’s been the plight of the world’s richest man, Tesla founder Elon Mask.

His father, Errol Musk, 79, told the Kyle and Jackie O Show on the Australian radio station KIIS FM that he’s not proud of Elon and favours younger brother, Kimbal, according to the New York Post.

“Your offspring is a genius. He’s worth so much money and has created so many things, you can’t take that away from him. Are you proud?” Jackie O asked.

“No. You know, we are a family that have been doing a lot of things for a long time, it’s not as if we suddenly started doing something,” Errol replied.

However, Errol called Kimbal, 49, a chef and restaurateur who operates The Kitchen Restaurant Group, his “pride and joy,” in the same interview.

Elon, 50, is Errol’s eldest son with his first wife, Maye Musk. In addition to Kimbal, they have a daughter, Tosca.

Errol also expressed concern that Elon, who is single with nine kids by four women, won’t be able to find a wife willing to sacrifice her career for a life with him.

“I worry about him,” Errol said: “He loves people, he loves humanity.”

Still, he took a dig at his eldest child’s physical appearance when asked about recent photos that showed him topless on a luxury yacht in Greece.

“Elon is very strongly built but he’s been eating badly,” his dad said.
