Emily Blunt Said Tom Cruise Swore At Her While She Was Crying On The Set Of “The Edge Of Tomorrow”

Emily Blunt said that Tom Cruise swore at her while she was crying on the set of the 2014 movie Edge of Tomorrow.

The role required two and a half months of training, which included working out with weighted vests due to how heavy the costumes were over the five-month shoot. Indeed, it was the weight of the armor that brought Emily to tears one day on set.

“We had to wear these enormous robotic suits,” Emily recalled on the Smartless podcast. “I think it would’ve been great if they could have CGI’d them, but we wanted to do it practically in a tactile way.”

“When you hear the word ‘tactile,’ you think that sounds nice and cozy — there was nothing cozy about these suits. Mine was, like, 85 pounds; it was so heavy. The first time I put it on, I started to cry in front of Tom, and he didn’t know what to do.”

Emily continued, “He just stared at me and was like, ‘I know, I know.’ I was like, ‘Tom, I’m not sure how I’m going to get through this shoot’ and just started to cry. I said, ‘I’m feeling a bit panicky about the whole shoot.'”

“He just stared at me for a long time, not knowing what to do, and he goes, ‘Come on, stop being such a pussy, OK?’ I did laugh, and then we got through it,” she said with another laugh.

What’s more, Emily actually got injured on the set of the movie. She almost broke her nose practicing one aerial stunt — to which Tom apparently told her, “Yeah! First stunt injury!” She even reportedly said that the suits injured her ribs and collarbone to the extent that they’re “still dodgy” now.

Anyone else think this sounds extremely unprofessional and horrible???
