Welp, it might already be time to say RIP to Emily Ratajkowski and Eric André as a ~thing~. Did you miss the fact that they were a thing at all because you were literally busy blinking? Because that would honestly be fair.
ICYMI, EmRata and Eric sparked romance rumors/made it jointly into goss headlines last week when they were spotted flashing smiles while strolling around NYC (and being all kinds of adorable together, FWIW). For reference, here’s a sample of the adorable snaps from that outing:
Then, they went on a Valentine’s Day Eve date to watch the Knicks courtside at Madison Square Garden Monday, further fueling all kinds of “oh, so they’re definitely dating” speculation. Also adorable, also documented:
Then, as if ^^^^^all that^^^^^ weren’t enough to convince the masses that love was in the air Em and Eric were breathing, Eric celebrated Valentine’s Day with the following incredibly NSFW pic of them together (don’t be so distracted by his sparkle heart emoji-censored naked couch pose that you miss Emily, also mostly naked, snapping the pic in the mirror):
And yes, this was a confirmed V-Day IG. We know because Eric literally captioned it, “???? ????????????????Happy Valentine’s Day ????????????????????.”
All of that seemed to suggest that a relationship wasn’t just starting, but was, you know, already IG official and everything. But now we have to collectively pause and be like, “…maybe not?”
The latest update in EmRata and Eric’s apparent status comes from the woman herself, in the form of a TikTok suggesting she’s experiencing the end of a “situationship.”
The very short video features Emily laying on her side and lipsyncing along with audio in which a voice asks “What’s rule number one?” and she mouths the reply, “Party?” before another voice replies, “No, it’s not party.” The clip also includes two on-top-of video captions. The first reads, “What should you do when a situationship ends?” and is followed by a second caption answering the Q: “Start another one.”
If you have breakup whiplash, join Em’s TikTok commenters, who replied to the video with a chorus of variations on “already?”
Which brings us back to our (maybe?) RIP to EmRata and Eric André’s relationship situationship. ????
