Emirates Airlines Gets Even More Indulgent With Its New Champagne Service

Emirates has long been known for providing passengers with prize-winning service that includes outstanding food, extremely comfortable seats and exceptional entertainment options. Those traveling in business and first class have their own upper level, directly accessed from the airline’s lounges, in addition to a swank bar where travelers can grab a snack or a cocktail. Another favorite perk is the chauffeur service that picks up and drops off passengers to and from the airport.

The airline has taken an even more luxurious approach to flying by offering a new “taste of the stars” program that features the most acclaimed French champagnes. Emirates is currently the only commercial airline in the world officially serving Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot and Dom Pérignon onboard. (The global airline exclusive agreements are in place until the end of 2024.) Emirates passengers can enjoy the finest selection of champagne and can toast the joy of travel, as well as any special occasions while in the air.

On Emirates, Dom Pérignon is served in First Class across all global routes, Veuve Clicquot is served in Business Class on routes to the Americas, UK, and Europe, and Moët & Chandon is served in Business Class on routes to Africa, Middle East, and Asia Pacific including Australasia. Economy Class passengers can also purchase Moët & Chandon onboard. Emirates will often serve exclusive vintages, offering First Class passengers an opportunity to taste exceptionally rare champagnes. Business Class passengers will also get the chance to occasionally try a special vintage of Moët & Chandon or Veuve Clicquot, and sometimes an uncommon rosé.

There are multiple ways to enjoy champagne while flying with Emirates, whether in your seat or at the onboard lounge of an A380. Economy passengers can also bring an extra sparkle to special occasions onboard by pre-booking a cake and champagne package. For just over $40, the cabin crew will surprise a passenger onboard with a mini celebration – including a tasty vanilla cake or decadent chocolate cake paired with a small bottle of Moët & Chandon Brut.

Passengers can also enjoy champagne in the Emirates Lounges in Dubai and across the globe before boarding. In Dubai, the Emirates Business Class Lounge has a unique Moët & Chandon Champagne Offering, where each iconic cuvée is paired with tasty canapés, created by Michelin-starred chefs. Passengers can learn more about the process of making champagne and Emirates collection on the Emirates Wine Channel, or speak to Emirates cabin crew who are provided with food pairing and technical notes for each champagne.

And if champagne is not your thing, you can enjoy an impressive wine list. Emirates has invested more than $1 billion into its wine program, buying exceptional wines and champagnes at the earliest opportunity, to let some of the wines mature before serving them on board. Emirates has created a terrific celebratory atmosphere onboard. While enjoying glass of superb champagne, it it hard not to admit that flying can be fun.
