Emma Raducanu is set to appoint Torben Beltz as her new coach ahead of her first full season on the WTA Tour next year, according to reports.
The German coach is widely regarded for his work with former Wimbledon champion Angelique Kerber.
Beltz is available to join Raducanu ahead of the off-season and January’s Australian Open after splitting from Kerber.
And, according to The Telegraph, he is now set to work alongside the Brit as she prepares for her first full campaign on the circuit.
“I had some trials [with potential coaches] and they went well,” Raducanu admitted.
The 44-year-old German coach and Raducanu were recently photographed together with her tennis agent in an Orpington cafe.
Esteban Carril is the only other coach known to have trialed with Raducanu.
Meanwhile, Kerber confirmed that she and Beltz no longer work together while speaking to Porsche Tennis magazine.
“I would like to take on more responsibility,” Kerber said.
“I’m very grateful for our time together and for everything we experienced and achieved as a team.”
