Emma Watson Got a Modern Version of Her Iconic 2010 Pixie Cut

Emma Watson Got a Modern Version of Her Iconic 2010 Pixie Cut

Actor Emma Watson is returning to her pixie roots. The star was just revealed as the face of Prada Beauty’s forthcoming, as-yet-unrevealed new fragrance, and she’s revisiting her iconic 2010s pixie cut in the first promotional photo, shot by photographer Harley Weir. In the campaign image, Watson looks over her shoulder at the camera, wearing a tangerine-orange Prada top and a pair of logo earrings.

Her hair, though, is what we can’t stop staring at; it’s cropped close to her head with choppy baby bangs and cut slightly longer near her ears and at the back. It’s similar to the Twiggy-esque mod bob she rocked over a decade ago, but the more tousled, undone layers and styling give it a modern and fresh, edge so it’s less gamine and more fashion forward. Watson initially cut her hair into the pixie after the Harry Potter movies were finished filming, saying goodbye to Hermione’s long hair, but has returned to longer styles in the years since. While we’re not sure if it’s the work of a wig or not, we’re kind of hoping it’s the former.

The rest of Watson’s campaign look is minimal: brushed-up brows, naked nails, and just a swipe of black eyeliner at her inner and outer corners complete the beauty moment.
