Emma Watson is back in her pixie cut phase

Emma Watson is bringing back her iconic pixie cut—at least for a moment.

On August 16, Prada announced Emma Watson as the new face of Prada Beauty on Instagram, sharing a photo of the actor in an orange ensemble with her hair styled into an artfully tousled pixie with baby bangs. For Watson’s beauty look, her skin appeared relatively untouched, with rosy cheeks, subtle soap brows, a glossy nude lip, and sharp winged liner on the outer and inner corners of her eyes. “The British actor, activist, and artist embodies the essence of a multi-dimensional Prada Woman,” the brand wrote in the caption. 

“PIXIE CUT IS BACK,” one fan replied to Prada’s post, referring to Watson’s highly publicized (and heavily googled) post-Hermione Granger chop from 2010. “I’ve wanted to do it since I was about 16, and when Harry Potter ended in June, I just needed a change,” Watson told Marie Claire at the time. “It was quite symbolic for me. It’s very short; it was buzzed at the back and on the sides. And it’s really liberating that I can walk out without thinking about it.”

Over on Emma Watson’s Instagram, the actor shared a glimpse at footage from her seemingly pixie-less directorial debut for Prada’s latest fragrance campaign. “When Prada asked me to be the face of their new fragrance campaign, I asked if I could direct it,” Watson wrote in the caption. “Months later, and I’m able to share the results of the faith they shared in me, with all of you. I can’t wait to share this piece of my art, and hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.” 

She continued, “I could never have done this without my unbelievable team of collaborators. Thank you for your time, commitment, talent, and passion. My directorial debut and Prada’s newest refillable fragrance, coming soon.” We can’t wait to see it!
