Emmerdale: ITV teases an explosive Christmas in The Dales

Emmerdale airs possible deaths this Christmas as killer Meena Jutla is up to no good again, while a huge fire rocks the village.

A new ITV trailer reveals at least one victim, who can be seen lying motionless in the rubble while their identity is not known.

Elsewhere, Meena targets her own sister Manpreet Sharma as it appears her sibling rumbles her killer antics.

Nothing is made clear in the teaser, but Manpreet tells her sister she knows just how “dangerous” she is.

But when Meena responds that she has no idea of the true extent of her behaviour, will she be left proving her words?

Viewers know that Meena has murdered Ben Tucker, Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and someone named Nadine, and upcoming scenes could be the moment she is exposed.

After Manpreet’s meeting with Nadine’s grieving mother Carol in upcoming episodes, she is left questioning if her sister might be a killer.

Later in the week, Manpreet stumbles across Meena’s revenge plan for Dawn and manages to stop her, but it opens her eyes to what her sister has been up to – convincing her more than ever that she might have killed Nadine after all.

This only leaves her at the top of Meena’s kill list though it seems, despite being the only person she cares about.

Meena will prepare to strike with a broken bottle, but is Manpreet going to die in a shocking festive twist?

In the teaser, Meena is stunned to be confronted by her older sister as she continues to spread her lies, with Manpreet telling her to “stop lying”.

When Meena gives her the same evil look she has given to all of her victims, it seems Manpreet should really watch her back.

Then there’s the huge fire which destroys The Woolpack pub, amid Al Chapman’s plot to tear it down to replace it with luxury flats.

He has been at war with owners Chas and Marlon Dingle, ever since he managed to become an investor.

With his finances in ruin, and him in big trouble with the people he owes money to, it seems he could do the unforgivable and destroy the pub for the insurance money.

But does he die in the process, or will he claim a victim?

Whose hand is seen? Emmerdale are remaining tight-lipped over their identity, and whether they will survive the fire.

The episodes will air on Christmas Day, with bosses recently promising events will see secrets and lies exposed – and lives possibly changed forever.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode at 8pm on Thursdays.
