Emmerdale theory: Harriet sentenced to life behind bars after Kim frames her for murder

Harriet Finch (played by Katherine Dow Blyton) hopes no one will discover she was involved in bent police officer DI Mark Malone’s (Mark Womack) demise. The corrupt character caused havoc in Emmerdale when he was alive and met his end when he was killed by Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley). His body was buried by Harriet and it was later moved by Kim Tate (Claire King) who try and frame Harriet for his murder as part of a revenge twist.

Harriet actress Katherine opened up exclusively to Express.co.uk about a huge storm ripping through Emmerdale as part of the soap’s 50th anniversary week.

When asked if Mark’s body could be unearthed in October’s deadly storm, Katherine said: “I think the problem is, after she buried him and reburied him she thought that was it.

“But Kim has got her talons involved so Harriet doesn’t actually know where that body is now.”

The actress continued: “I’ve washed my hands of it as far as Harriet’s concerned but there is still that worry that Kim has got that information and she knows Harriet’s involvement in Malone’s death.”

If Kim’s callous plan pays off, will Harriet be sentenced to life behind bars?

Emmerdale fans will recall Mark threatened Will’s daughter Dawn in the summer of 2020.

When he attempted to convince her to take a fatal overdose, Harriet interrupted and whacked him with an ornament.

She thought he was dead but he regained consciousness and Dawn shot him dead in a panic with the gun he threatened her with.
