During tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, fans of the show were left concerned over Victor Anderson’s (Eddie Osei) true intentions.

Not convinced over Vic’s sudden redemption arc and fearing for Naomi Walters’s (Karene Peter) life, they took to their Twitter account to theorise.

@Chris1968E commented: “#Emmerdale old Vic playing the old I’m a Christian man now not a violent criminal thug.”

@domain_harry asked: “What’s on the end of your stick – Vic? #emmerdale.”

@macnamara60 penned: “Whispering Vic giving his granddaughter all the patter. #Emmerdale.”

Craig Barker said: “Victor’s gonna get ya #Emmerdale.”(sic)

Purves Grundy noted: “Victor, hurry up and kill your granddaughter would you? #emmerdale.”

Ryan Glendenning expressed: “Naomi’s known Victor for barely 5 mins and she’s already bonding with him. I hope Victor’s intentions are genuine. #Emmerdale.” (sic)

Will Naomi end up on Victor’s bad side after believing in him?

In tonight’s scenes, Vic met Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) in the cafe, and he explained his reasons for turning up in their lives again.

Vic began: “You have no idea how much I have missed you. I thought about you each and everyday we have been apart.

“Your warmth, your cooking, that smile. Well, you keep it well hidden but…”, however, Claudette clapped back and reminded him of all the people he hurt.

Wanting to prove himself, he continued: “I did, but you have to know that I am not that person anymore.

“I’ll be the first to admit that I lost my way, I just wasn’t ready to listen back then. I don’t think God would want to know a man like me.

“Not after the things I have done, but I realised, I was crying, heartfelt sobs and that is because, for the first time in many many years, I didn’t feel alone anymore, God was waiting for me.”

Later as Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker), Naomi and Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) returned home, Vic was patiently sitting at the dinner table.

Charles asked: “What are you doing here?” to which Claudette answered for him and said: “I invited him for dinner.”

Charles was confused over her actions and said: “We have been here so many times before,” to which Vic assured: “I won’t blow it this time, ah my favourite granddaughter.”

Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV.
