Katie Hill has revealed to her fans a potential addition to her current gig as Sarah Sugden in Emmerdale as she shared with her 101,000 followers that she was keeping her musical talents alive.
Answering a fan’s question on her Instagram story about whether she would pursue singing after Emmerdale, Katie replied: “I’m currently working on making some music which I’m hoping to release some time in the future.”
She confirmed that she was not stepping away from the soap immediately and was “just doing it alongside work”.
Fans had a sneak preview of the young star’s musical talents last year when she uploaded a video of her singing to Instagram.
Katie looked comfortable as she sang to the camera Creep by Radiohead.

She posted the reel with the caption: “I don’t know what I’m doing with reels but here have a lil (sic) singing clip since TikTok won’t let me post it.”
The comments section was soon flooded with compliments about the soap actress’ vocals. One said: “Beautiful voice,” while another gushed: “Oh my goodness, absolutely stunning performance, voice (and face) of an angel!!!”
A third praised the star: “WOW what a beautiful voice. You are special.”
The video from November has since garnered over 9,800 likes and continues to have new comments in recent weeks.
The video features the star singing against a white wall dressed in a dark red dressing gown.
The video has received over 3,500 likes, with fans commenting: “Get it recorded lass it’s amazing what a voice,” and: “Omg I didn’t know you could sing!! this gave me goosebumps”. (sic)
Her account also features several videos of the TV star participating in the latest trends and behind-the-scenes vlogs where she takes fans to the studios and set.
Katie joined the cast of Emmerdale in January 2017 as the daughter of Andy Sugden and Debbie Dingle.
The role is the star’s first on-screen acting job after she took over the role from Sophia Amber Moore, who portrayed Sarah between 2007 and 2016.
