A man strangled his 30-year-old wife to death in Delhi’s Rohini area, following an argument over her extra-marital affair. The accused had found his wife with another man and in a fit of rage he killed her. A case has been registered at KN Katju Marg police station in connection with the matter.
MAN KILLS WIFE, ARRESTED
Police received information that a man identified as Anil killed his wife at his house in Sector 16, and later fled the spot after locking the door.
Soon after receiving information, police reached the spot and broke the door open, only to find Rashmi lying on the floor and wrapped in a cloth.
Probe revealed that Anil killed his wife after he found out about her illicit relationship with another man.
As per the information, it was six years ago that Anil had a love marriage with Rashmi, a resident of Orissa. While Anil used to live in Bulandshahr, Rashmi used to work in Bawana’s factory. It is alleged that Rashmi had become friends with another man named Bablu, who worked in the factory. Anil and Rashmi used to fight frequently over her friendship with Bablu.
On the day of the incident, Anil had gone out of the house. When he returned home, he found Bablu in the house with his wife, following which an argument broke out between them. In no time, the argument escalated and in a fit of rage, he strangled Rashmi to death.
Police have now arrested the accused.
