‘Entitled t***s’ scream at other drivers despite parking 4×4 over white line

Parking can be one of the most contentious issues in motoring, with drivers arguing over space, sometimes even inches.

This was true for one driver recently after her interaction with a couple resulted in a heated argument for parking on the line at a car park.

Taking to Mumsnet, the driver explained how she was “running just on time” to an appointment, with the only parking space available next to a large 4×4.

She claimed that the vehicle was parked directly on the line to the right of their space, with the woman pulling into the middle of the space next to it as normal.

The couple who owned the 4×4 then shouted at the woman asking if she could move her car, with the husband saying his wife would not be able to get into the car because of the other vehicle.

The driver continued saying: “Other shoppers were staring at me, I definitely felt intimated. Tried to calmly say no, I have to get to an appointment. 

“I suggested they should move their car, going via the passenger side if they couldn’t get in the driver side.

“I dashed away to [the] dentist, had to stop to tie [my] shoelace and he continued to go on at me being very loud and insistent I should come back and move.”

Before entering the dentist for her appointment, she responded to the shouting man, saying their “s**t parking” had caused the issue.

After leaving the dentist she returned to her car, with the couple having moved their own larger vehicle, but remaining near the parking space.

She claimed that they were sitting in their own car with the door open, filming her vehicle, the woman’s face and their number plate.

The driver later questioned what the couple would do with the “incredibly boring” footage of her leaving the parking spot.

Acknowledging that her comment about their parking was rude, she added that she tried to calmly stick up for herself in response to the man’s angry confrontation.

Many in the comments of the post were supportive of the woman, saying it was the couple’s fault for parking so badly in the first place.

One response took aim at the couple’s choice of vehicle, saying: “Ignore. Entitled t***s with a big car and a sense of entitlement to match.”

Others admitted that they would have said far more to the couple in response to them trying to pin blame on another driver.

However, not everyone was on the woman’s side. Some suggested that she could have moved her car to avoid any hassle with the couple.

One commenter said: “I would have pulled out long enough for her to get in the car. They may have been parked badly but you then parking made the situation harder.”

A number of responses echoed this sentiment, saying she could have parked elsewhere, despite the fact that the couple had parked over the line.
