The “Gran Turismo Collection” includes icons like the Lamborghini Miura, Ferrari F40, Bugatti EB110 and Jaguar XJ220 S

A highly desirable 18-car gaggle of supercars dubbed the “Gran Turismo Collection,” all from a single owner, is set to hit the block in November as part of an upcoming RM Sotheby’s auction in London. The collection is a well-curated mix that reflects a very particular taste in performance vehicles across different categories.

What comes to mind when you think of the perfect car collection? How about an eclectic blend that includes Ferrari’s ‘Big Five’ supercars and a couple of holy-grail Lamborghini models? This collection has that, but it does not end there. Toss in a couple of Bugattis, Jaguar’s two attempts at supercars from the ’90s, and some thoroughbred rally cars for good measure. By this time, you should have a picture of something rather extraordinary beginning to form.

Supercars, spread across a broad spectrum, form the core of the Gran Turismo Collection. The earlier mentioned Ferrari ‘Big Five’ – the 288 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo, and LaFerrari – are all present. They complement other Prancing Horse models like the 550 Barchetta, Superamerica, and the 599 SA Aperta, all finished in yellow. Then you have the ultra-exclusive Jaguar XJ220 S, and the even-rarer Jaguar XJR-15 supercars. Bugatti is another well-represented marque, here, with a couple of EB110s and a one-of-30 Bugatti Chiron Supersport 300+.

Interestingly, the collection features only two Lamborghini models, both iconic classics. There is the limited-run Countach LP5000 S; and a 1971 Miura SV by Bertone. The three rally cars, which round off the collection, are a curious addition, but still unique in their own right. The Lancia 037 and Delta S4 rally cars are hardcore racers with competitive wins in their history. They are joined by an Audi Quattro in S1 E2 trim, the most extreme iteration of Audi’s legendary rally monster, and one of only 20 ever made.
Ontario-based RM Sotheby’s will host the November 5 auction at the Marlborough House in London, United Kingdom. Pre-sale price estimates for the cars have not been released, but anyone interested in this collection better not be too worried about their budget.
