Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra didn’t have much patience for Ramona Shelburne’s postgame question following the Miami’s Game 2 win.
Asked about turning Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic into a scorer vs. a passer, Coach Spo pretty quickly shut that down. Calling the idea “ridiculous” and not so subtly questioning the writer’s basketball IQ.
Yeah that’s a ridiculous… that’s the untrained eye that says something like that. This guy is an incredible player. Twice in two seasons he’s been the best player on this planet. You can’t just say, ‘Oh, make him a scorer.’ That’s not how they play… We have to focus on what we do. … He has our full respect.
