There’s simply no way of stopping Erling Haaland on current form.
The Manchester City forward has been electric since moving to the Premier League over the summer, wasting little time in proving himself as one of the league’s most prolific stars.
In the least surprising news of the weekend, Haaland was on the scoresheet once again as he found the net after 24 minutes against Everton at the Etihad Stadium, a match that they went on to draw 1-1.
That effort was the attacker’s 21st goal of the season so far, an impressive tally in just 15 Premier League fixtures so far.
Opta revealed that is the most goals scored by a player before the turn of the year in a single Premier League season.
What’s even more impressive is that he’s managed it with a lengthy break in the schedule due to the World Cup.
Haaland’s tally of 21 goals so far is even more impressive when compared to the whole of last season which saw him bag 22 goals for Borussia Dortmund.
That means that the 22-year-old is just two goals from beating last season’s tally before we even reach January, showing just how much he’s kicked on since joining Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
But Haaland’s strike wasn’t enough to earn City the three points with a brilliant strike from Demarai Gray in the second half earning Frank Lampard’s side a precious point in what was a frenetic contest.
