Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort, Hawaii
Nesting on the Kona Coast of Hawaii’s Big Island, Kona Village is reopening as a new Rosewood hotel after closing in 2011. The revamped resort spans 81 acres and will include 150 “guest hales,” all powered by 100-percent solar energy.
Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa, Tanzania
The 250-key, all-inclusive Emerald Zanzibar Resort & Spa opens this month on Matemwe’s Muyuni Beach. A new member of The Leading Hotels of the World portfolio, the new waterfront resort has five restaurants and a massive spa, which is ideal for some post-holiday rest and relaxation.
Susurros del Corazón, Auberge Resorts Collection, Mexico
Susurros del Corazón opened in Punta de Mita this November. The sprawling new escape sits on the edge of the sea and has three scallop-shaped infinity pools and lush jungle views at every turn—not to mention plenty of space.
Bambu Indah, Indonesia
Bambu Indah is opening on Indonesia’s island of Bali this month. The new boutique hotel is based in Ubud and made up of standalone structures made of bamboo and Javanese teak. Other highlights include a jade-green, natural swimming pool and flower-filled copper bathtubs.
The Anam, Vietnam
Debuting early in 2023, the gorgeous new Anam will include 77 villas and 136 suites, all well-dressed with mosaic tile floors, massive balconies and warm wood touches. The new property sits seafront in Cam Ranh, which is just a short flight from both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
Banyan Tree Ilha Caldeira, Mozambique
Located just off the mainland, the new Banyan Tree Ilha Caldeira is a private island escape of sugar-sand beaches, verdant jungle interiors and some of the country’s best diving. There will be 40 private pool villas in total, all with views of the Indian Ocean.
The Boca Raton, United States
Florida’s most famous address, The Boca Raton recently unveiled an $200 million transformation. The biggest news is the brand-new Harborside Pool Club and the new 27-story, 224-room Tower, bringing the total number of hotels in The Boca Raton complex to five.
Cap Karoso, Indonesia
Opening in January on the pristine island of Sumba, Cap Karoso is an eco-chic getaway made up of 47 rooms, 20 villas, a restaurant, beach club and spa/gym. Expect on trend interiors, plus there’s community engagement and sustainability at heart.
Six Senses La Sagesse, Grenada
The first Six Senses hotel in the Caribbean, Six Senses La Sagesse will open on the island of Grenada at the end of 2023. Spaced out over 38 acres, the new opening will include 56 guestrooms and 12 villas, plus several residences.
Anantara Koh Yao Yai, Thailand
Spread out on an island in the cliff-fringed and island-studded Phang Nga Bay, the new Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort is a tropical paradise made up of 148 villas, all well-dressed with airy, clean interiors and many featuring private pools.
