ESPN Analytics – whatever that is, exactly, we don’t really know – might want to readjust its formula.

The Miami Heat have a 3-0 lead on the Boston Celtics heading into Game 4 on Tuesday night. Miami is one win away from sweeping Boston and heading to the NBA Finals.

ESPN Analytics must be shocked, right?

Heading into the series, ESPN Analytics gave the Heat just a 3 percent chance of knocking off the Celtics.

That’s obviously very, very wrong.

“The Miami Heat have a 3% chance of reaching the NBA Finals, according to ESPN Analytics,” ESPN announced before the series.

ESPN Analytics did give the Heat a 3 percent chance to beat the Celtics, so it’s not like they thought it was impossible, but still, the formula should probably be adjusted.

Miami will look to get the sweep over Boston in Game 4 on Tuesday night.
