ESPN is doing something special for Wednesday, which is International Women’s Day.
The network is going to produce an all-women NBA telecast for the Dallas Mavericks and the New Orleans Pelicans.
It’s going to start with a pre-game show with Malika Andrews, Chiney Ogwumike, Monica McNutt, and Becky Hammon. It will start at 7 p.m. ET before Beth Mowins, Doris Burke, and Cassidy Hubbarth call the game at 7:30 p.m. ET.
NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski will also be part of the coverage but in a side role.
This is great for everyone, especially as there continues to be so much more advancement for women in the sports media industry.
This game will be televised by ESPN before the network switches to the Raptors-Clippers game at 10 p.m. ET. That one will be called by Mike Breen and Mark Jackson, but will also feature Hammon and Rosalyn Gold-Onwude.
