The ESPN layoffs are ongoing and their NBA coverage is continuing to be hit hard. The latest NBA analyst reportedly on the outs is Jalen Rose.
According to Andrew Marchand and Ryan Glasspiegel of the New York Post, Rose has been let go after a decade at the Worldwide Leader in Sports.
“ESPN has let go of NBA Countdown’s Jalen Rose, The Post has learned. Rose, 50, had been on ABC/ESPN’s top NBA broadcast for a decade, which was especially impressive because of the amount of changes the network has made over that time,” the outlet reported.
The writing may have been on the wall for this given his diminishing role at the company recently.

Jalen Rose saw his show “Jalen & Jacoby” with David Jacoby canceled at the end of 2022. He also used to be a co-host on Get Up, but left when Mike Green became the show’s primary showrunner.
Once a member of the iconic “Fab Five” in Michigan basketball, Rose enjoyed over a decade an NBA player before retiring in 2007. Since then he’s worked as an analyst for ABC and ESPN, developing his own entertainment company in his free time.
Rose will have plenty to do even without ESPN paying his salary.
