The team has yet to address it in any official capacity, but it appears that the Phoenix Suns are set to move on from Chris Paul this offseason. A potential move for the 38-year-old seems to be inevitable.
With that in mind – and the aggressive strategy of new owner Mat Ishbia to control the team’s roster and its identity, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski has named four potential places Paul could choose to go to if he is waived by the Suns.
ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski: “If Chris Paul’s out there as a free agent this summer, look at the 2 teams in LA, the Clippers & Lakers; the Knicks in New York; the Golden State Warriors…” pic.twitter.com/xehNrXEvC5

Before last night’s game 4 of the NBA Finals, Wojnarowski said that four teams will take a look at what Paul can bring to their roster.
Those teams include the New York Knicks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers.
Joining the Lakers would be a full circle moment for Paul, who was nearly traded to Los Angeles to form a super-team with Kobe Bryant back in 2011. The league vetoed that deal, but Paul would be free to sign with the Lakers over a decade later.
Paul could also choose to head back to a familiar spot with the Clippers. Paul had some of the best years of his career as a Clipper, and he could join Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Paul has been in several playoff series against the Warriors during his career, so joining longtime rival Stephen Curry on that team would come as a surprise. Still, he would be able to add a veteran presence to a team that is still in win-now mode.
The Knicks represent an interesting challenge for Paul. With Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle on the roster, Paul could simply focus on what he does best – facilitating and playing defense – while the others handle the scoring duties.
