Before Game 1 of the NBA Finals tipped off on Thursday night, ESPN released one of the weirdest hype videos you’ll ever see.

The hype video showed animated versions of Jimmy Butler and Nikola Jokic taking down their playoff opponents. It also included a sound bite from Stephen A. Smith.

ESPN’s hype video featured such odd effects that it actually weirded people out.

“I actually love how bizarre and unhinged this is. This the kind of thing I’d laugh about for 30 years if I saw this as a kid,” one fan said.

“This is hands down the craziest thing I’ve ever seen ESPN post,” another fan wrote.

“This is bad,” a third fan tweeted. “Really bad.”

Here’s the video that’s going viral:

As for the actual NBA Finals, the Nuggets won Game 1 by a score of 104-93. Jokic had 27 points, 14 assists and 10 rebounds.

Game 2 of the NBA Finals will take place on Sunday night.
