Euphoria fans think Hunter Schafer is dating season 2 costar Dominic Fike

There aren’t too many healthy relationships in the fictional world of HBO’s hit drama Euphoria, but things may be more romantic behind the scenes. Warning: minor spoilers for season two, episode two beyond this point.

Based on some new photos of Euphoria star Hunter Schafer, who plays Jules on the drug-soaked teen drama, fans are convinced the actor is dating her season two costar, Dominic Fike. In the photos, which you can see here, the pair can be seen holding hands during an outing in West Hollywood, California.

Dominic was introduced in the season two premiere as Elliot, a kind teenager who seems to be throwing a cocaine-shaped wrench in Jules’ relationship with Rue, played by Emmy Award-winner Zendaya. 

Rue, who struggles with addiction, meets Elliot in the laundry room of a New Year’s Eve party where she almost succumbs to heart failure, only to be saved by the teen who gives her…more drugs? (Yeah, this may be a drama about teens, but that doesn’t mean the series is for teens.) 

In episode two of the new season, which aired on 16 January, Jules is immediately intimidated by Elliot and Rue’s connection – which isn’t helped by the fact that Rue is lying to her girlfriend about the ongoing friendship.

However, while Elliot and Rue may have something going on on-screen, fans are getting emotional over the idea of a real-life romance between Schafer and Fike. Many tweets involve congratulatory messages alongside gifs and videos of hysterical crying. 

“I want to date both Hunter Schafer AND Dominic Fike,” one user tweeted. “Can’t they move over a little bit and make room?” Honestly, that sounds a bit like it could work as a plot point in Euphoria.
