Flights are one of the most expensive elements of a trip abroad, even if it’s just for a quick city break.
But lucky Britons looking in the right places will find cheap deals that can be snapped up for a summer getaway.
Sharing his low-cost travel advice on TikTok, experienced solo traveller Bailey Turvey (@baileryturvey) revealed six sought-after destinations that can be visited for less than £100.
The expert globe-trotter included budget hostels in the price too, but once you take these away, return flights work out to less than £50 per person.
And Britons can choose from a host of European spots, including Prague, Milan, and even Portugal.

Prague
Bailey’s first recommendation was Prague, the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic.
Known for its historical architecture, musical heritage, and poignant role in World War II, the popular destination has a deep culture for tourists to explore.
And those travelling from the UK can enjoy return flights for as little as £46 from the budget airline Ryanair.
Visitors looking for somewhere to stay can also enjoy two nights at the Dream Hostel for just £48 per person, as recommended by Bailey.
Budapest
The seasoned traveller’s second recommendation for Britons was the city of Budapest in Hungary. Flights from London Luton and London Gatwick to Budapest International Airport are available for as little as £30, according to Bailey.
Return prices fluctuate between £30 and £40 for summer bookings via Wizz Air, though it’s still a steal for budget travellers looking to explore the city’s interesting museums and monuments like the Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum, Shoes on the Danube Bank, and Parliament Building. Bailey suggested a stay at the Hostel One Budapest for £25-£30 per night.
Berlin
Best known for its exceptional range of landmarks and vibrant cultural scene, the German capital is accessible for just £45 per person. According to the travel expert, this price applies to return flights from multiple airports to and from the UK.
Visitors in need of a place to stay can pay £54 per person for two nights at the Circus Hostel, as recommended by Bailey.
Porto
Britons craving sunshine can head to Porto, Portugal for between £40 and £50 this summer, with return flights available for an average of £48 per person via Ryanair. Bailey suggested flying from London Gatwick, Stansted, or Manchester Airport to the Portuguese city to get the best deals.
Budget accommodation recommended by the travel expert included two nights at the House of Sandeman for a total of £42.
Luxembourg
While it is not technically a city, Luxembourg is one of the world’s smallest countries – landlocked by Belgium, France, and Germany. The country is globally recognised as an economic powerhouse within Europe and its top-quality wine production.
Travellers visiting from the UK can bag return flights via Ryanair for less than £40 this summer if they time their dates right.
According to Bailey, flights from London Stansted and Liverpool should cost between £30-£35 to LUX with the budget airline.
And visitors hoping to continue their journey through Europe from the landlocked spot can do so for even less, with one-way flights from Stansted to Luxembourg priced at £15.40 for the month of June.
Milan and Lake Como
The experienced traveller’s final recommendation was Italy – specifically Milan and Lake Como. Bailey recommended flying to Milan and taking a short journey down to the famous Riviera by taking advantage of low-cost flights.
Those who book with Ryanair from Manchester, Liverpool and London Stansted Airport can enjoy return deals for as little as £28 on certain dates. According to the traveller, Britons can enjoy a two-night stay at the Madama Hostel & Bistrot for just £54 while there.
