Ever had a Thanksgiving sandwich? Here’s where to find them in Colorado

The Bobbie is a popular sandwich year-round at Capriotti’s, a Delaware-based chain with three locations in Denver’s southern suburbs. But November turns popularity into a frenzy.

“It’s been pretty crazy,” said Norma Rochford, who owns a five-month-old Capriotti’s store at 7939 E. Arapahoe Road in Greenwood Village.” I can’t even tell you how many we’ve made.”

That’s because the Bobbie is what’s known as a Thanksgiving sandwich, made with that all-American combination of turkey, stuffing and cranberry. Connoisseurs of this delicacy — also known as a Pilgrim sandwich or Puritan sandwich — often make them at home with leftovers from the holiday. But true zealots enjoy them in early fall as well — or any time of year.
