Facing a must-win game Monday night, the Los Angeles Lakers aren’t going down without a fight.
Down 3-0 in the Western Conference Finals, the Lakers entered halftime with a 73-58 lead over the Denver Nuggets. However, viewers think they had assistance from the officials.
Los Angeles made 16 of 17 free throws during the first half. Denver, on the other hand, only attempted six foul shots. Fans put on their conspiracy theory caps, positing that the NBA wants LeBron James and the Lakers to keep the series going.
“Lol these refs think they’re slick,” a fan wrote on Twitter.

James scored 31 points during the first half, including four three-pointers. Viewers could be witnessing one of the legend’s final iconic playoff performances, but sports fans rarely miss an opportunity to complain about officiating.
The Lakers looked poised to avoid a sweep at home. However, the Nuggets started the third quarter on a 16-6 run to trim the deficit. ESPN is currently televising Game 4.
