This year’s NBA Draft Lottery is perhaps the most consequential lottery of all time.
Everyone was locked in for tonight’s event as the winner of the No. 1 overall pick gets one of the most highly-anticipated prospects of all time: Victor Wembanyama.
All cameras were squarely focused on the 7-foot-5 Frenchman as he awaited the lottery results surrounded by his family and friends in Paris. He did so in a room that wasn’t exactly fit for his sky-scraping frame.
Everyone said the same thing on Twitter when they saw Wembanyama’s head brushing the ceiling.

“They really couldn’t get a room with a higher ceiling for Wembanyama?” one fan asked.
“Somebody get Victor Wembanyama a bigger ceiling,” another said.
“Victor Wembanyama’s ceiling is about as high as where his head is in this photo,” another added.

There’s no question about where Wembanyama will go in this year’s draft. He’s essentially locked in to go with the No. 1 overall pick — with a significant gulf between himself and the next best prospect.
The San Antonio Spurs won the Wembanyama sweepstakes in tonight’s lottery, taking the No. 1 overall pick ahead of the Charlotte Hornets, Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets and Detroit Pistons.
