One of 2022’s pack of brave familiar faces is Ben Foden, a rugby player – so along with the likes of former Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole, Olympic BMX ace Kye Whyte and Paralympic medallist Stef Reid, there’s a wealth of sporty folks looking to prove themselves on the ice.
With his professional partner Robin Johnstone, he’ll try to make it all the way to the end of the competition and inherit the crown from last year’s winner, Sonny Jay.

Who is Ben Foden?
Ben Foden is a rugby union player who played for Nottingham for 10 years, as well as for the English national team between 2009 and 2013.
As of 2019, he plays for Rugby United New York.
Aside from his sporting achievements, Ben has also made his mark on TV with an appearance on The X Factor: Celebrity in 2019.
He came in fifth as a part of group Try Star, alongside Levi Davis and Thom Evans.
Is Ben Foden married?
You may remember Ben Foden being married to Una Healy of The Saturdays – they tied the knot in June 2012.
However, their union came to an end in 2018 after he admitted to sleeping with another woman behind her back – something he later called ‘the biggest and most stupid mistake’. Yikes.
The road of love didn’t end there for Ben, though – a year after the divorce, he married his American girlfriend Jackie Belanoff-Smith (now Jackie Smith-Foden) on a luxury yacht.
Does Ben Foden have any children?
Ben has three children – Aoife, nine, and Tadhg, six, with Una, and 20-month-old baby Farrah with Jackie.
During Farrah’s birth, Ben kept fans updated on the stages of labour with regular video posts to Instagram. At one point, he even joked about live streaming the delivery, captioning a post: ‘What do people think to a Instagram livestream birth during a pandemic?’
