It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks for former SportsCenter anchor Ashley Brewer.
On Friday, June 30, Brewer announced she was one of the victims of ESPN’s latest round of high-profile layoffs. While dealing with the fallout from that bad news, Brewer still had to put the finishing touches on her upcoming wedding to NBA big man Frank Kaminsky.
Over the weekend, Brewer and Kaminsky tied the knot, eight days after she lost her job.
The couple shared some photos from their big day on Instagram.
Brewer, 31, a former collegiate swimmer, was hired by ESPN in 2020. In addition to SportsCenter, she covered MMA, presented at the 2022 NHL Awards and co-hosted pre-and-post-game shows for the company.
“I am so grateful for my time at ESPN and the opportunity to host SportsCenter. I learned and grew so much as a broadcaster and person,” Brewer wrote at the time of being laid off. “I will really miss all of the wonderful friends I made along the way. I know God has a plan for my life and I look forward to what’s next. What’s next: my wedding is in one week!”

Kaminsky, meanwhile, just finished his eighth NBA season, splitting time between the Atlanta Hawks and Houston Rockets.
The Naismith College Player of the Year as a senior at Wisconsin in 2015, he was the No. 9 overall pick of the Charlotte Hornets eight years ago.
