Batwheels is a new preschool-aged animated series coming to HBO Max and Cartoon Network this fall. The series follows Bam, a recently-sentient Batmobile, as he teams with other sentient vehicles belonging to the Bat-Family to form a team and assist their human mentors in fighting crime in Gotham City. To tie in with the forthcoming series, DC Comics and publisher Random House will release Lucky Wheels: Bam the Batmobile Learns a Lesson!, a new picture book starring the Batwheels characters. The book is written by Andrew Guastaferro and illustrated by Sean Calico, and follows Bam (and Batman) as they race after The Joker – and his evil vehicle, Prank – while dealing with Bam’s worn-out tires.
Here’s how Random House’s Books for Young Readers imprint describes Lucky Wheels: Bam the Batmobile Learns a Lesson!:
The wheels start turning and the engines revving when the Batmobile come to life as a Super Hero named BAM along with some of DC’s other heroic vehicles! Based on the new preschool animated series on Cartoon Network and HBO Max as part of their new preschool programming block Cartoonito, this full-color picture book introduces BAM in an original story in which he learns that having the right tools is the best way to get the job done . . . even if it means having to give up his well-worn “lucky tires.” It’s a great way for young fans of Batman™, the Batmobile, and all manner of things that go to enjoy BAM’s adventures again and again.
Lucky Wheels: Bam the Batmobile Learns a Lesson! is the latest DC title from the RH Books for Young Readers imprint. Other recent DC-based releases from the imprint include the Batman book King Shark Takes a Bite! by John Sazaklis, Fabio Laguna, & Marco Lesko, the Wonder Woman-starring Spring Into Action! by Rebecca Mallary & Pernille Orum, and the DC League of Super-Pets tie-in book The Power of Lulu! by Rachel Chlebowski, among others.
