New HP Omen 16 and HP Victus 16 laptops coming soon

According to our sources, HP plans to launch new Omen 16 and Victus 16 laptops during the event. Judging by the name, one can safely assume that they will come with 16.1-inch panels, as found on the current generation of laptops. However, our sources note that the new HP Omen would be significantly thinner and lighter than its predecessor with a weight of just around 2kg and a thickness of just under 20mm.

Aside from this, the new HP Omen will pack the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 4000 series GPUs, which would be an upgrade over the RTX 3000 series GPUs once would find in the current generation. Further, one can also assume that the new laptops will also pack 13th Gen Intel processors.

HP has always heavily touted the cooling performance of the Omen and Victus series and according to our sources, the company has upgraded its cooling technology even further. The new laptop feature a newly designed airflow system with a square venting design that is said to let more air in and out. Further, the top hinge trunk has been redesigned to open without blocking the rear vents. This should improve airflow even further.

Further, HP also plans to bring upgrade the software in its gaming portfolio. The HP Omen Gaming Hub will feature a new battery-saving mode and come with a customisation feature. This should ensure a more personalised experience for gamers.

Of course, as is the case with every leak, do take things with a grain of salt. Aside from these, HP may have a whole list of other announcements to make. The company will be livestreaming the event via its Omen India YouTube Channel on June 22, 7:30pm. You can check that out here.
