Audiences have not been treated to any new Looney Tunes Cartoons for a while now, with the most recent run of episodes including the likes of “Bathy Daffy,” “Lesson Plan 9 from Outer Space,” “Daffy Traffic Cop Stop: Lions,” and “Fowl Ploy,” among others. However, since premiering on HBO Max back in 2020, Looney Tunes Cartoons has been met with very positive reviews from critics.

Looney Tunes Cartoons currently sits at a delectably fresh 88% on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus declaring the series to be “a vibrantly goofy return to form, Looney Tunes Cartoons is perfectly calibrated cartoon comedy.” Audiences have been equally (if not more) enamored with the series, with Looney Tunes Cartoons gaining a hugely impressive Audience Score of 91%.

The series has since won several awards alongside the critical acclaim, including the Annie Award for Outstanding Achievement for Storyboarding in an Animated Television / Broadcast Production, with voice actor Eric Bauza winning the Children’s & Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program.

The Looney Tunes and the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Yosemite Sam, Porky Pig, Sylvester, and Tweety have been among the most iconic elements of Warner Bros. for decades now. First appearing in shorts way back in 1930, the beloved cast of characters has delighted audiences ever since on both the big and small screens, most recently teaming up with basketball legend LeBron James for Space Jam: A New Legacy.

A movie centered around Wile E. Coyote titled Coyote vs. Acme is due to be released later this year and sees the tortured character hiring an equally unlucky human attorney to sue the ACME Corporation.

A total of nine new episodes of Looney Tunes Cartoons are all set to premiere on Thursday, Apr. 6, on HBO Max.
