EXCLUSIVE: Samantha Ruth Prabhu says ‘I was having personal struggles’ during divorce with Naga Chaitanya

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently gearing up for the release of her movie Shaakuntalam. She was in Mumbai recently and sat down with us for a candid conversation. During the promotions of Shaakuntalam, ahead of the movie release, in an exclusive interview with us, Samantha indirectly opened up about her divorce with Naga Chaitanya. The actress spoke about her ‘personal struggles’.

In an exclusive interview with us, ahead of the release, the actress indirectly opened up about her divorce with Naga Chaitanya. She shared that she was having a personal struggles of another kind. Samantha even spoke about her myositis diagnosis.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu told Bollywood Bubble, “I did not get diagnosed during Shaakuntalam. It wasn’t during Shaakuntalam or Yashoda as well. It was after that. So, this was when I was having personal struggles of another kind, during Shaakuntalam. Physically, I was fine.”

The Shaakuntalam actress even spoke about facing judgements and show she deals with it. Talking about her struggles, Samantha said, “These last two years have changed me so much as a person. Mentally, physically, spiritually, it has made me adapt to everything that is thrown at me. I don’t think they won. I still feel like I’m winning. And sometimes you know, you know, when everything is good and normal, there is no real growth there.”

Meanwhile, Samantha and Chaitanya were married for almost four years. They tied the knot in 2017 and parted ways in 2021.

Speaking of Shaakuntalam, the film is scheduled to release on April 14. The movie is written and directed by Gunasekhar and features Samantha as Shakuntala and Dev Mohan as Dushyanta.
