Faadu: A love story is a Hindi Web Series directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, well-known in Bollywood. She has also worked on notable films such as Nil Battey Sannata, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Panga.
The star cast consists of Pavail Gulati, Saiyami Adwait Kher, Abhilash Thapliyal, Hiren Rathod, Kunj Anand, Manini Chadha, Shishir Sharma, Rakesh Chaturvedi. Saiyami Kher, a Bollywood actress, has been cast as the series’ main female character.

Faadu- A Love Story Review: Storyline
It’s a newly released web series on the OTT platform SonyLiv, directed by Ashwiny Iyer is asocial comedy-drama series.
The series has a total of 11 episodes that depicts Pavail Gulati and Saiyami Kher starring in this story of greed and survival that means well but never holds a firm grip.
The series revolves around two poets with a different view towards their life, Abhay played by lead actor Pavail Gulati is a slum dweller who dreams of becoming wealthy for his family.
A love story cursed by desire.

On the other hand, Manjiri played by lead actress Saiyami Kher is simple and more grounded. She is from the small town of Konkon, is drawn to Abhay’s candor, and sees poetry in everything.
However, Abhay’s ambition and drive to succeed in life clash with their other contemporary relationship problems.

Faadu- A Love Story Review: Star Performances
Pavail Gulati as Abhay did a phenomenal part of his acting where he truly showed, a man struggling to balance his own desires with his career and other relationships.
Gulati’s portrayal of Abhay’s desperation is excellent, as his thoughts are constantly divided between what he believes is right and what he actually desires.
Whereas Saiyami Kher as Manjiri, has come a long way since her debut film Mirzya (2016) and she now looks seasoned in playing the desires and dilemmas of her character Manjiri.
She looks lovely and natural in every frame. Gulati and Kher have endearing on-screen chemistry, and they both complement each other.
Faadu- A Love Story Review- Final Verdict
Faadu is a love story that presents itself as a love story that stretched over 11 episodes, it does not know what it wants to say. The main problem isn’t that the pace is slow, but primarily because it doesn’t suit the narrative the series wants to drive.
The characters come off as immature and lazy, careless and stubborn. Faadu wants to work as a love story but there’s no love to be found- not at least in the never-ending stares with which Abhay and Manjari seem to communicate with.
On the whole, it could have been a love story however, it moves slowly and stretched out so much that it ends up being nothing more than an ordinary love story.
