Family-favourite BeWILDerwood reopens next month with no loud rides & technology

THE popular woodland attraction BeWILDerwood is to open next month.

Families can book tickets for when it reopens on February 19, just in time for the school half term.

The park is known for avoiding loud rides and technology – inside are 10 huge structures, including an eight metre high treetop ride called the Sky Maze, as well as climbing walls, mazes, zip-lines and rope walks.

Kids will love the names of the attractions, from the Wobbly Wires and the Slippery Slopes to the Broken Bridge and Curious Treehouses.

There is also face painting, storytelling, craft workshops and den building for little ones, all included in the ticket price, while parking is also free.

Park manager Hannah Monteverde told Warrington Guardian: “We will also have face painting this year, which as with everything here at BeWILDerwood is included in the ticket price – so no hidden costs, just lots and lots of fun for explorers.”

BeWILDerwood is based on the book series by Tom Blofeld, with the Norfolk branch opening in 2007.

A second park opened in Cheshire last year.

There also isn’t much junk food at the park either with many of the meals and snacks using local farmers and fresh products.

Guests can eat at either the Cosy Cabin or the Munch Bar, with options including sandwiches, soups and salads as well as a few treats such as crips and flapjacks.

Families wanting to save the pennies are allowed to take in their own picnics.

Tickets to the attraction are on sale now, with families urged to prebook due to expected demand,

Kids under 92cm go free, while tickets start from £13.50.
