Brittney Griner is missing her second straight WNBA game on Sunday afternoon.
The Phoenix Mercury star is out of Sunday’s game against New York with a hip injury. Mercury star Diana Taurasi is also out with an injury today.
“Injury update: Brittney Griner (hip) and Diana Taurasi (hamstring) are out for today’s game against New York,” the Mercury announced on Sunday.
Concern for Griner and the Mercury are growing.

It’s an unfortunate situation.
“So glad I came to this game,” one fan said sarcastically.
“Need my girls healthy. Heal up!” one fan added.
“Praying for healing,” another fan wrote on social media.
Hopefully, we’ll see Brittney Griner back on the court at some point in the near future.
