When Tim Duncan retired following the 2015-16 season, many thought coach Gregg Popovich would walking out the door with him.
Now, after landing a generational talent in this year’s draft, the five-time NBA champion is sticking around for at least the next half-decade.
Per NBA insider Shams Charania: “San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich – the winningest NBA coach of all-time – has signed a new five-year contract extension with the franchise.”
