After being selected No.1 overall in 2023 NBA Draft before his first summer league appearance, Victor Wembanyama had an interesting moment.
The San Antonio Spurs newest draftee’s bodyguard had an uncomfortable run-in with Britney Spears in Las Vegas.
Days after the run-in, the pop singer says she has one request for the 19-year-old.
“Britney Spears shuts down discourse over Victor Wembanyama security incident, calls for public apology. “I have yet to receive a public apology. And that’s it.”

According to Yahoo, Spears approached Wembanyama to congrulate him before security didn’t seem to recognize her at first.
But after realizing who the pop star is, Spears quickly received a personal apology from the secuirity director.
“I did get an apology at my table 30 minutes later, but I’ve yet to receive a public apology, and that’s it,” she said on an Instagram video.
