Ubisoft revealed today that the Pagan Min DLC for Far Cry 6 is being added to the game next week. The DLC is the second chapter of Far Cry 6’s Season Pass dedicated to villains from previous franchise installments.
Pagan Min was the main villain of 2014’s Far Cry 4. In the game, Pagan Min is the ruthless dictator of Kyrat, a fictional Himalayan country, and it’s up to the player to join a resistance and take down the power-hungry madman. Last year, the first part of Far Cry 6’s Season Pass, focused on Vaas, let the player confront the inner demons of the crazy villain and lead him to a peaceful life set in an alternate reality. While Ubisoft didn’t reveal any details about the Pagan Min DLC, this villain is expected to receive the same treatment. However, contrary to Far Cry 3’s Vaas, Pagan Min hides his bloodlust behind the façade of a polite aristocrat, which can lead to unexpected challenges.
Far Cry 6’s Season Pass reimagines the franchise’s lore by forcing past villains to face their own actions and gives fans the tool to explore fan-favorite characters in depth. The Season Pass will also include a chapter dedicated to Joseph Seed, the religious fanatical that serves as the main antagonist of Far Cry 5. There’s no specific release date for the Joseph See DLC yet, but the third and final chapter of the Season Pass is expected to be available this March.
Far Cry 6 main story features Giancarlo Esposito as “El Presidente” Antón Castillo, the dictator of the fictional Latin-America island nation of Yara. The country is facing a civil war, as resistance rises against the oppression of “El Presidente.” That means the player has once again the task of helping the local freedom fighters get their freedom back.
Besides the paid Season Pass that features the franchise’s previous villains, the base game has also been receiving free crossover missions. There’s already a mission featuring Danny Trejo’s Machete, while a Rambo crossover is set to be released in February, and a Stranger Things-based mission will be available in March.
Far Cry 6 is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, and Microsoft Windows this October 7. Pagan Min DLC’s, Control, will be available Tuesday, January 11.
