Fourteen years after their divorce, Andrew and Fergie remain close.
That’s even after the Duke of York shelled out $20 million in an out-of-court settlement with former Jeffrey Epstein sex slave Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who claimed she had underage sex with Andrew. The prince has denied any wrongdoing.
“(Andrew)] is a wonderful father and a very, very good grandfather,” Fergie told OK magazine. “I think, as a grandparent, you have to let your children get on with being the parents they want to be, and not interfere too much.
“But I’m always there to pick up the broccoli when it goes flying at mealtimes.”
Their oldest daughter, Princess Beatrice, married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 38, in 2020 and is mother to daughter Sienna, seven months, while Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank, 36, in 2018 and is mother to year-old son August.

But it seems the family is forming a “united front” against the prince’s army of critics, including Princes Charles and William.
Andrew stepped down from his public duties in 2019 after a disastrous BBC interview on the scandal surrounding his old pedo pal Epstein.
Fergie told the magazine the family is standing “very strong and very tall” following the lurid allegations. However, Queen Elizabeth kicked Andrew to the curb during her jubilee celebrations.
“The York family are a united front and we stand very strong and very tall. When the winds get violent, we keep standing,” Fergie said.
It appears Andrew remains unrepentant. He triggered outrage when he accompanied the Queen from Windsor Castle to a Service of Thanksgiving for Prince Philip.
Then he was in hot water again after he penned a now-deleted 700-word statement about the Falklands War. Fergie posted it to Instagram and it was signed with “HRH,” despite Buckingham Palace saying he would no longer use the title His Royal Highness.
