Fergie looks after late Queen’s corgis at Royal Lodge – inside home

Following the Queen’s death in September 2022, Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew, who divorced in 1996 but currently cohabitate at Royal Lodge, took her corgis Muick and Sandy into their care. The Duchess of York has insisted she can perceive the Queen’s presence at her Windsor residence thanks to the corgis’ sixth sense.

According to the author, the two dogs frequently “bark at nothing,” which makes her think that Queen Elizabeth II’s ghost is “passing by,” Fergie told PEOPLE magazine.

The jaw-dropping Grade II-listed home of Sarah and Prince Andrew is a fabulous royal palace, with a regal appearance, amazing interiors, and plenty of room.

Andrew has owned the property since the Queen Mother’s death in 2002, who had lived there since her daughter became the monarch in 1952.

The opulent home features 30 rooms, including seven bedrooms, as well as 21 acres of private gardens with room for the corgis to run around.

According to The Telegraph, there is a Gothic drawing room at Royal Lodge, which is located in the centre of the house.

It is a large room with sage green panelling, high ceilings, enormous paintings that portray the nearby park, and miles of faded Persian carpet.

The lodge was designed by John Nash and has been a royal house since 1662. In addition, there were later modifications by architect Jeffry Wyatt.

The royal residence in Windsor is nestled away from the public eye inside the royal park which affords the Duke and Duchess of York great privacy.

The four-legged companions of the royals even have their own menu, according to royal chef Darren McGrady.

The menus would be “chosen and sent to the kitchen every month by Mrs Fenncick, who took care of all the dogs at Sandringham” according to the chef.

Because of their children, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Sarah and Andrew have stayed infamously close after their divorce.

They currently have two grandchildren, August Brooksbank and Sienna Mapelli Mozzi, and will soon have a third as Princess Eugenie is pregnant.
