Who else spent the holiday weekend watching “Get Back”? I don’t want to spoil anything for those of who haven’t finished the 7+ hours of Beatlemania just yet, but I will say it’s the closest thing to time travel I’ll ever get to experience.

Back in 2021, there’s a whole lot of great music at the Indio International Tamale Festival this weekend. And it’s free!

Looking ahead to next year, Smokin’ Grooves is coming back. It’s getting a new location, but the lineup is pure fire. Also ahead in 2022? The Foo Fighters and Iron Maiden are coming back through Southern California. Read on.

Smokin’ in 2022

Beloved hip-hop and neo soul festival Smokin’ Grooves is coming back in March, but it’s moving from Long Beach to L.A. The stacked lineup includes Erykah Badu, Nas, The Roots and more. See the full lineup and find out how to get tickets.

Tunes and tamales

The Indio International Tamale Festival is coming back this weekend with a major upgrade on its entertainment. You can see La Sonora Dinamita, Tijuana Panthers, Sweet & Tender Hooligans, Thee Midniters, The Red Pears and more for free. Bonus: There are also delicious, delicious tamales.
