FIFA 22 Serie A Player of the Month (POTM) nominees & winners

Serie A is one of two new leagues joining the FIFA 22 Player of the Month (POTM) catalog. Each month, a new star will be crowned, receiving an upgraded card in-game. Here’s the list of winners so far in 2022, and how you can get each card.

The Serie A has finally joined the FIFA POTM party, with a new rights deal between EA and the league adding the juiced-up cards into the game.

In FIFA 22, you’ll be able play as your favorite Serie A stars ⁠— when they’re nominated for the POTM award ⁠— and grab a great card in-game to show off. No longer do you have to wait for Team of the Season (TOTS), you can get them right now.

Here’s what you need to know about the FIFA 22 Serie A POTM cards, and how you can unlock them through SBCs.

November FIFA 22 Serie A POTM winner: Hakab Calhanoglu

Inter Milan midfielder Giovanni Simeone is getting the next FIFA 22 Serie A POTM card for his purple patch of form in November. The Turkish star scored three goals as Inter went unbeaten across the month, including one in the Milan derby.

Calhanoglu’s 86-rated POTM card is a huge +4 upgrade on his 82-rated regular gold card. Despite a stellar month, this is his first special card of the year, but it’s still a great boost to his base card.

If you’re rocking a Serie A team, this card could be everything you need in an attacking midfielder. His passing (88) and dribbling (89) make him an ideal playmaker, and his pace (73) and shooting (79) can be easily upgraded with a hunter chemistry style.

His defending (63) and physical (62) stats let him down slightly, but if you’re playing him further forward it shouldn’t be an issue. High free-kick accuracy (88) and curve (89) also stand out, meaning he could be your team’s new deadball specialist.

If you want to grab Calhanoglu’s POTM card, you’ll need to complete just one SBC with an 84 rating. It’s pretty cheap too — it’ll set you back around 34,000 to 36,000 coins depending on platform.

You have until January 4 to complete the Calhanoglu POTM before the next Serie A star comes along.
