In Final Fantasy 16, there is a lot you must do to get the 100% completion. There are various quests, side quests, trophies, and more. Most of these are pretty straightforward forward while others you can easily overlook. However, it’s those overlooked achievements that can cost you 100% completion.
A guide for every missable item or trophy can help you achieve your dreams of 100% completion. The Never Coming Down trophy is one of the trophies that are pretty simple to complete however, if you don’t know about it, you could easily miss it.
Fully upgrade and master 1 ability by purchasing Rook’s Gambit from Garuda’s tree.
Abilities
Looking in the menu at your abilities, you need to have a few of the best Eikon abilities unlocked. These 3 abilities are Wicked Wheel, Rook’s Gambit, and the Gouge which must be done all in one combo without landing. While on the surface this looks simple, it’s not as simple as you would think. This is due to the fact that you are limited with your abilities and gear. You’re only allowed to use two of them for each of the icons you have under Eikons. However, for example, you could put one, such as Gouge on your Phoenix icon. This is due to the fact that once you master an ability you can equip it to any icon.
Never Coming Down Trophy
There’s no specific location to complete this trophy. All you have to do is find an enemy that is tall enough to hit while you’re in the air or a wind elemental would be best. Smaller enemies will be a bit tougher to land all the moves. Make sure it’s an enemy that isn’t too weak against any of these hits otherwise you risk the chance of defeating them before you can complete the combo with your unlocked Eikons. The order of this combo doesn’t matter so long as it’s all done in the air.
However, it will be easier if you start with Gouge since that’s the easiest to land followed by Wicked Wheel and Rook’s Gambit. Many have mentioned that Rook’s Gambit can be the most difficult to hit though if you fight a big enemy then spam the abilities over and over should allow you to nail it. Overall, you only need one hit from each attack while you’re in the air to achieve this. You can not hit the ground in between the attacks.
