The Cheesecake Factory will be offering something a little different from New York-style cheesecake on July 30.
The Calabasas-based restaurant chain will be introducing Classic Basque Cheesecake to its menu on National Cheesecake Day.
This style of cheesecake is made without a crust and has a scorched, caramelized top with a creamy center, according to a news release. It will come topped with berries and whipped cream.
The Cheesecake Factory annually launches a new flavor on July 30 and uses the date as a fundraiser for Feeding America, a nonprofit organization that sets up food banks to combat domestic hunger.
On National Cheesecake Day, the chain will donate $1 to the charity for every slice of cheesecake sold and will continue to donate 25 cents for every slice of Basque Cheesecake sold through July 29, 2023.
The Cheesecake Factory is a full-service restaurant with a large menu of steaks, chicken, seafood, sandwiches, salads and small plates. It serves more than 30 cheesecakes in addition to other desserts.
