American EV-maker Fisker has been dropping teasers of its upcoming Personal Electric Automotive Revolution (PEAR) crossover via its CEO’s Instagram account, and the latest one comes with some new information.
Henrik Fisker has posted a number of strategically angled and lighted images of the upcoming electric vehicle, which he clearly qualifies as “NOT a hatchback!” The most recent visual, posted to IG late May, shows the vehicle’s front end with a familiar honeycomb-style grille cutout, thin LED light strips, and illuminated “PEAR” lettering across the front.
“EV below $29,900 & Revolutionary!” the recent Instagram caption reads. “We are currently working full speed on re-defining how to make an inexpensive car. Reducing parts, make them simpler. Adding technology & unique features to replace tradition! I expect, we will show a PEAR prototype earlier than I originally stated.”

The boss man has also been careful with his words regarding the segment placement, insisting in a comment and previous posts that the “PEAR is a class smaller vehicle with a Non SUV design,” and “super short overhangs with a large wrap-around windscreen.” Apparently, the vehicle will have some sort of “very unique” rear-end design without a traditional hatch.
Fisker will shop out the build of the 250,000 PEAR units to FoxConn, which will build the EVs on a new platform at its plant in Lordstown, Ohio. The PEAR is scheduled to go on sale in 2024.
The brand is also in the development stages of a GT-style sports car called “Ronin,” and another yet-to-be-named SUV.
