Fitbit currently offers irregular heart rhythm notifications on some wearables in the US, allowing users to get a heads-up on atrial fibrillation (Afib). It’s taken a while, but the company has finally announced that this feature is now available in more regions.

Fitbit revealed that irregular heart rhythm notifications are now available in over 20 markets (h/t: 9to5Google).

The current list of markets is as follows:

As for compatible devices, Fitbit says irregular heart rhythm notifications are supported on the Sense, Sense 2, Versa Lite, Versa 2, Versa 3, Versa 4, Charge 3, Charge 4, Charge 5, Lux, Inspire 2, and Inspire 3. So you’re bound to find a wearable supporting this feature in your market.

The feature can be accessed via the Assessments section of the Fitbit app and monitors your heart rhythm while sleeping to check for signs of Afib. This is a condition characterized by an irregular heart rate, often associated with increased risk of blood clots, heart attacks, and stroke.
