The housekeeper told police when she arrived at the home, she was greeted by Corrado, who was allegedly covered in blood. He led the housekeeper to his grandmother’s body in a bedroom, according to Fox News.
Authorities said the housekeeper told Corrado she needed to get cleaning supplies from her car and once outside, took off in the vehicle and flagged a nearby deputy in his patrol vehicle.
Deputies said they found the dead woman and Corrado’s grandfather suffering from head injuries. He was flown by helicopter to a nearby hospital.

“This individual is in our custody thanks to the swift response by deputies and the quick-thinking (housekeeper) who was able to get herself out of the residence and alert law enforcement,” Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said in a press release.
Collier County Sheriff’s Office said the elderly couple had a restraining order against their grandson.
Police say Corrado was released from prison last year after violating his parole and had a lengthy record — including possession of amphetamines and heroin, and a hit-and-run incident — dating back to when he was 23 years old.
