Floyd Mayweather handed out $100 notes to children who were selling sweets when he attended an NBA match between LA Lakers and Milwaukee Bucks last night.

The American star ranks as the highest-paid boxer in history having amassed a perfect 50-0 record, earning nine-figure pay-days against Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor.

And he has shared a tiny fraction of that wealth as he paid the kids without taking the sweets and explained: “People here they are going to ask for autographs and they will sell it online and make money, I’m all about giving back to the kids.

“The kids out here selling candy, they ain’t doing nothing wrong, give me a couple of dollars I will give it to them.”

He also promised to repeat the gesture to the children every time he saw them by giving them $100 every time they are at the fame.

The children selling the confectionary had earned around $400 by the time he had finished his act of generosity.

Mayweather’s gesture would have been one of the more entertaining parts of the night as he watched on with Lakers being blown apart by the Bucks 131-116.

The retired boxing legend certainly had a successful year last time out despite only fighting once in a mega-money exhibition with YouTube star Logan Paul.

He is expected to have earned a purse of $65million with the event having sold in the region of one million pay-per-view buys despite ending without an official outcome.

His latest exhibition was set to be against YouTube star ‘Money Kicks’ who was relishing the prospect of facing the former 50-0 star – but the fight has now been cancelled.

Mayweather has continued training despite retiring from the sport with a sparring partner claiming his speed and reactions remain like he was “in his 20’s”.

His coach Gerald Tucker believes he remains a threat in the boxing ring and will continue to fight for the foreseeable future.

“I think he’s going to fight a couple of times every year,” Tucker told The Sun in an interview from training camp.

“It’s great money and there’s people like me, huge fans of Floyd’s style that want to see him in the ring just displaying his skills, that are unmatched in the history of the sport.

“I think he’ll do that just for people like me. But, I’m also optimistic we may see Floyd fight one day.

“I’m not giving up any secrets or anything, I’m just hopeful, I feel it. And I mean guys who could become a world champion in the next year or two.

“So yeah, I’m very optimistic we’ll see him in the ring one more time and put his unbeaten, flawless record on the line.”
