Ford Motor Co. and its philanthropic arm Ford Fund announced Tuesday a $5.8 million investment in Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian organization that assists in natural disasters.

The automaker plans to donate $2.5 million in cash, supply the organization with a fleet of 17 vehicles and provide Ford employees paid time off to volunteer. It’s calling the investment “Team Rubicon Powered by Ford.”

“At the heart of Ford is our commitment to help out our communities in times of need and make it possible for our employees to volunteer their time and talent to help others,” Executive Chair Bill Ford said in a statement. “The reality is weather-related disasters in the U.S. are becoming more frequent and more severe. That is why we are significantly expanding our relationship with Team Rubicon, donating a fleet of vehicles and deploying volunteers where they are needed most.”
